Wessex Guild Spring 2026 exhibition at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

29th January, 2026 | 0 comments

You are invited to come and see our top quality art and craft Spring exhibition, showcasing the work of 19 talented members of the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen at the impressive Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, near Romsey, in Hampshire this March. We have some new members who are keen to show off their skills alongside established favourites, so there is sure to be something that takes your fancy.

Over the course of two weeks, Guild members will be displaying and selling their art and craft in the welcome centre (left building in the courtyard) at this flagship garden covering 180 acres.

In the first week (Tuesday 3 March – Tuesday 10 March), 10 members will be taking part. Please note, there will be no exhibition on Wednesday 11 March as this is the changeover day. The second group of nine members will show their work from Thursday 12 March – Thursday 19 March.

In week 1 feast your eyes on handcrafted and unique pieces, including textile bags (Elise Barkes) and stitched pictures (Sheila Barrow), photography (Susan Brown), woodturning (Brian Eyley), prints and artworks (Vicki Hunt), animal, figural and landscape paintings (Jenny Morgan), sculptures (Poppy Morgan), real flower jewellery (Emily June Pullen), willow work sculptures (Jacquie Rolls), plus abstract and nature paintings (Wendy Smith).

In week 2, treat yourself to another display of beautiful, original work, including fused glass (Dorothy Borland), nature photography (Gordon Brown), basketry (Louise Brown), linocut prints (Jo Cheer), needle-felted art pictures (Nicky Heard), pottery (Helen Piper), jewellery (Jacquelyn Ready), landscape paintings (Jerry Smith), and natural sheepskin rugs (Stephanie Quirk).

With plenty of easy parking, free entry to the exhibition (you need to pay if you want to go into the gardens as well), plus a lovely cafe next to the show, this is an event not to be missed!

The exhibition is open from 10am – 4pm every day, except the final day (Thursday 19 March), when it closes at 3pm. We look forward to welcoming you there!

Sir Harold Hiller Gardens is at: Jermyns Lane, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 0QA.
