Fifteen talented artists and makers from the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen are taking part in the popular Hampshire Open Studios this August, with the exhibition taking place every day from Saturday 22 to Monday 31 August 2026.
Conveniently located at Upham Village Hall, on the junction between the Winchester Road and Mortimers Lane, the show provides the opportunity to browse and buy top quality and unique art and design directly from the makers.
Sheila Barrow will be demonstrating her freestyle embroidery skills and explaining her techniques. Visitors will also be able to chat to different makers each day and can enjoy the delights of handmade cakes and treats from Annabel Bakes Cakes while deciding what to purchase.
There will be displays featuring handcrafted textile bags (Elise Barkes), textile pictures (Sheila Barrow), ceramics (Jo Berryman and Helen Piper), fused glass (Dorothy Borland), basketry (Louise Brown), printmaking (Jo Cheer), digital art prints (Vicki Hunt), portrait and landscape painting (Jenny Morgan), sculpture (Poppy Morgan), felted sheepskin rugs (Steph Quirk), jewellery (Jacquelyn Ready), landscape painting (Jerry Smith), abstract painting (Wendy Smith) and illustrated designs (Vanessa Wells).
Wessex Guild members are all selected for their high standards of craftsmanship and design, so you won’t be disappointed.
We look forward to welcoming you to the show.
Upham Village Hall is on the main Winchester Road at the junction with Mortimers Lane (SO32 1HF). It has a large, free car park and easy access. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the hall.
