Six members of the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen will be showing and selling their beautiful and unique wares at this year’s Taste of Wickham Festival, taking place on Sunday 10 September 2023.
This annual event grows more popular every time and is a fun day out for the whole family, with lots of entertainment for all, plus amusements like magicians and face painters especially for the kids.
Located in the pretty and historic Wickham Square in the village of Wickham in the heart of the Moon Valley in Hampshire, there will be a host of stalls selling everything from tasty foods and drinks – many made in the area – to exquisite art and crafts, made by our members.
Representing the top quality that the Guild is known for will be Julie Barker (woodturning), Dorothy Borland (fused glass), Bridget Bradshaw (jewellery), Helen Murchie (genuine Tweed textiles), Jacqueline Rolls (willow sculptor) and Vanessa Wells (illustration).
Come on down and meet the makers of all these arts and crafts in person. They’ll be pleased to chat with you and tell you about their techniques and the materials used. It’s never too early to shop for Christmas so bring your list – or treat yourself! There will be prices to suit all budgets.
Alongside buying all your Wessex Guild unique gifts, make some time to sample all the tasty food on offer, watch the cookery demonstrations, visit the array of stalls and enjoy the live music and singing through the day.
There is easy, free parking at the Park and Ride up the road and the fun is on from 10am to 4pm.
Taste of Wickham Festival is at The Square, Wickham, Fareham PO17 5JT. We look forward to seeing you there!
