Susan Brown

Photographer

I have been a photographer for over 40 years. My work has been exhibited widely, including at The National Theatre, Gallery Oxo and the Meniere Gallery, all in London, plus several exhibitions at MAKE South West (formerly The Devon Guild), where I am a member.

Much of my time has been spent with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), where I attained two Fellowships, one in Visual Art and the other in Contemporary and Conceptual photography. I sat on the Distinctions assessment panel for Fine Art and became the chair, and was also an assessor on the Landscape Panel.

My work has been published in many magazines and several RPS journals. I had an image in The Sunday Times and I am co-author of the book The Coast. In addition, I am a member of the Arena Group of Photographers and collaborated with this organisation on a portfolio book called Swimming with the Tide.

As a founder of MK Arts for Health I have an affinity with images for mindfulness and have exhibited in several hospitals over many years.

I am also a Member of Art 6, a multidisciplinary group in Devon.

My work is done on archival fine art papers. Pigment inks are used for longevity and all the mounts are acid free. More recent images are printed on Dibond (aluminium).

Images are all limited editions (mainly 10 but occasionally 25), so further images may be available or can be produced in a different size as long as the format remains constant.
