I was trained at, and worked in, two potteries in the Cotswolds before opening my own workshop in Deddington, Oxfordshire. I produced slip-decorated earthenware for domestic use, with green, brown and honey-coloured slips and glazes.
I joined the Wessex Guild of Craftsmen when I moved to Petersfield, but now live in Less.
Most of my work is ‘thrown’ on the potter’s wheel. I create functional items, such as jugs, mugs and bowls, as well as ovenproof, moulded dishes in earthenware with cream or blue slips. I make small planters, chickens, boats and poppy seed head decorative stakes for the garden in stoneware clay.
